Louis Armstrong sang the song “when your smiling, when your smiling, the whole world smiles with you!”
Such amazing words of wisdom!
How hard is is to turn away from a smiling person and frown? When someone smiles at you, it makes you feel so much better. Your day lights up instantly, you feel warm inside.
But, when you smile at someone, and really smile, not a forced grimace imitating a smile – it makes you feel the same way, even if the person you smile at does not smile back. If they do – you feel even better!
Did you know – that it takes more muscles to frown than to smile? Although those in the know, cannot actually agree on how many.
And if you smile regularly, it works as a facelift? Not on the spot – but in the long run. If you look at women’s and men’s faces as they age, as their faces start to droop, their mouths turn down at the sides and they start to look grumpy. But I have noticed that women and men who smile all of the time, do not get that mouth droop- their constant smiling , lifts the sides of their faces, tones the cheeks, and keeps them looking younger!
Smiling, which often turns into laughter – is a great way to stay healthy! Feeling good inside keeps you feeling great!
Smiling helps break the ice at events and parties – a smile is considered a international sign of friendship, whilst a frown is seen as a sign of aggression.
Also – have you ever tried complaining and being negative when you are smiling? It is also near impossible being cranky when your smiling! And we all know when we are happy, good things happen which make us smile more!
So turn your frown upside down – and smile!
