Ethix Makeup Beauty and Styling is situated in the picturesque Southern Highlands of New South Wales, of Australia.
The name Ethix derived from the word ethical. Giving much power to the name based on the principles of ethical beauty and practice, using only the highest quality chemical free , animal testing free, natural products. Predominately using and endorsing Australian made only.
Meet Yvette Van Schie, the founder of Ethix Makeup, Beauty and Styling.
Growing up on the North Shore of Sydney, Yvette studied at the prestigious Sydney College of Makeup Art and at Ella Bache School of Skin and Beauty Therapy.
After receiving her qualifications, Yvette started her career working for Revlon and worked her way up to managing one of Sydney’s finest day spas, after working for skincare companies in their promotional departments and in beauty salons. Soon after Yvette found herself working as the national training manager for one of Australia’s top skin care companies.
Yvette continued to broaden her horizons working within product development including designing facials and training manuals. During this time Yvette worked with some of Australia’s top cosmetic surgeons, natural therapists, personal trainers and beauty therapists. Both her knowledge and passion continued to grow.
Yvette, becoming a highly recognised commercial, bridal/fashion makeup artist and holistic beauty therapist saw a strong need for pure, natural makeup and skin care. An ethical way of performing her passion and beliefs.
So it was with that, Ethix Makeup Beauty and Styling was born.
Yvette is responsible for the popularity of Ethix’s very own unique style. After discovering that the biggest complaint regarding bridal makeup came from grooms who were unhappy that under heavy layers of foundation and blusher, their brides no longer looked like themselves.
The Ethix approach was developed. Applying a sheer foundation giving excellent coverage, then to work on enhancing the individuals features with the minimum of makeup.
Less is more … and the result is both sensational and natural. Of course, if clients want dramatic makeup, Ethix is happy to oblige.
Yvette stands by her philosophy makeup must show off the woman who is wearing it, not the other way around. With this approach Yvette’s minimalistic, yet naturally enhancing technique has achieved her industry leader status.
Yvette’s expertise is such that she has been included in Covington’s Who’s Who, a publication that lists professionals recognised as leaders in their chosen industry.
Yvette writes for Professional Beauty, a leading industry magazine, and was commissioned to write training manuals and designed facials for a highly respected skincare company. As a stylist, she has worked with many image makers, including Robert Pante, stylist to the American Presidents and their wives.
Yvette has trained other therapists and makeup artists by performing workshops and seminars, and now retrains those wishing to re-enter the Bridal industry.
Yvette welcomes all clients both local and interstate allowing individuals to unwind and relax in her lovely estate situated in Wildes Meadow, in which she operates from.
Yvette is also looking forward to publishing her very first book titled ‘No Botox required, a holistic approach to looking and feeling younger for longer’ which will be released by 2017.
